How much will it cost to handle my case?
We negotiate legal fees on a case by case basis and the cost will depend on a client’s individual legal needs.

Where do you practice?
We practice all over New Jersey and New York with offices in Hoboken and Englewood Cliffs.

Is there a time limit to file my case?
Yes, the statute of limitations and other procedural rules limit the time that you have to file your case.

Must I respond to a Complaint?
Yes, you must respond to a Complaint against you or you risk having a judgment entered against you by default.

Do I need to have an attorney in small claims court?
If you are a business, you are required to have an attorney represent you in small claims court.  Individuals are permitted to represent themselves, but it is prudent to be represented by an attorney.

How long will my litigation take?
It depends. In New Jersey, cases are separated into different tracks that determine how long the discovery period is. The more complicated the litigation, the higher the track, and the longer it will take to resolve the litigation. In certain circumstances, a party may seek emergent relief and obtain a temporary injunction to preserve their rights. Click HERE to learn more about the litigation process.

Can my case be resolved without going to court?
Some cases can be resolved through negotiation, mediation or arbitration. These alternative dispute resolution methods can help keep litigation costs down.  Whether your case can be resolved without litigation depends on the facts of the case.  We can advise you on alternative dispute resolution and represent you through mediations and arbitrations.
